DescriptionIL-18 Czechoslovak Airlines OK-NAB at Gatwick Airport 1970.jpg
English: My first photo of an eastern bloc carrier. I took it out the window of our Dan-Air Comet heading for Munich. I am still looking for a photo of that Comet. From a Kodachrome 35mm slide.
OK-NAB was an Ilyushin Il-18B 4 engine turboprop, operating as a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Prague's Ruzyně airport to Bratislava-Ivanka Airport, both in Czechoslovakia, which crashed into the Zlaté Piesky Lake while attempting to land in Bratislava on July 28, 1976. All 6 crew members and 70 passengers died. Three passengers survived.
