Summary

Description
English: Historic bell located in the bell tower of Gethsemane Church at 600 State Street in Pekin, Illinois. The building was formerly home to Second Reformed Church. According to historical reporting about the church, the bell was purchased by the German congregation, transported from Germany, and installed in the church's bell tower. The bell bears a German inscription associated with Psalm 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
