View NW, towards Preston, Carlisle and SCotland on the West Coast Main line, also Liverpool. The 08.20 from Carlisle is headed by Stanier Princess-Coronation Pacific No. 46254 'City of Stoke-on-Trent' (built 10/46, withdrawn 9/64).
