Summary

Description
English: Cyclone Gwenda near its record-breaking peak intensity north of Western Australia on April 6, 1999. This was taken using the VISSR imaging instrument aboard the GMS-5 satellite, the original image is in grayscale but was superimposed using NASA’s Blue Marble (2002) image through a digital editing software to give a “true-color” effect and make storm structure features easier to see and identify.
