Summary
editMiniature portrait of Lt. Col. George Gladwin Denniss II (1821-1862), 1st. European Bengal Fusiliers, who recruited, by order of Col. Henry Lawrence, the 4th Regiment of Punjab Infantry (renamed 57th Wilde's Rifles (Frontier Force) in 1903) of the Transfrontier Brigade in 1849. Portrait in possession of Peter Chantler, South Molton, Devon, his great-great grandson.
