Published in 'Punjab Painting' (1983) by R. P. Srivastava [plate 9]. This fresco can be partially seen in the following colour photograph: [1] Location: Udasin Akhara Bala Nand, Katra Jallianwala, Amritsar Dating: As per fieldwork/research conducted by Harmilan Singh (@tawarikh_e_punjab) (see: [2]), whilst the akhara was founded in the 1770's, the current structure of it was built in the 1870's, meaning the murals contained within painted on its walls must date to around then. |
