Summary

DescriptionFrederic-Evrina 1999-03-31 1025Z.png	English: Cyclone Frederic-Evrina near peak intensity as a Category 5-equivalent cyclone in the Australian region prior to crossing into the South-West Indian Ocean on March 31, 1999. This was taken using the VISSR imaging instrument aboard the GMS-5 satellite, the original image is in grayscale but was superimposed using NASA’s Blue Marble (2002) image through a digital editing software to give a “true-color” effect and make storm structure features easier to see and identify.
