English: A U.S. Navy McDonnell F-4B-26-MC Phantom II (BuNo 153020) from Fighter Squadron VF-92 "Silver Kings" approaches the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise (CVAN-65). VF-92 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 9 (CVW-9) aboard the Big E for a deployment to Vietnam from 3 January to 18 July 1968. The F-4B 153020 was shot down by a Vietnamese surface-to-air missile on 15 August 1972 while in service with VF-161, CVW-5, aboard USS Midway (CVA-41). |
