Summary

Description
English: The remains of Puʻu Mahana, cinder cone erupted about 50,000 years ago, faces the Pacific Ocean - Hawai’i (USA). The olivine, a common silicate, gives to the seashore a rare light green sand, which wave after wave dissolves, and settles down at the bottom of the sea.
