Object history
Deutsch: Der Markt Erkheim erhielt 1875 ein Bildsiegel genehmigt, bei dem man keine Farben festlegte und das man nicht in ein Schild setzte. Es zeigte das kleine Schloss der Abtei Ottobeuren, das einst in der Ortsmitte stand. Auf Bildern von 1690 ist das Schloss abgebildet. Schon bald nach Verleihung des Siegels führte der Markt ein farbiges Wappen, das 1990 als geschichtliches Wappen von der Regierung von Schwaben anerkannt wurde.
