DescriptionCumulative induced seismicity.png	English: Cumulative number of earthquakes with a magnitude of 3.0 or larger in the central and eastern United States, 1973–2023. The long-term rate of approximately 29 earthquakes per year increased sharply starting around 2009. The increase has been attributed to induced seismicity Français : Nombre cumulé de tremblements de terre aux Etats-Unis. Le cluster central rouge au centre de la carte est une anomalie : dans cette région très peu sismique, depuis l’exploitation du gaz de schiste, l'Oklahoma qui a connu la plus forte augmentation d'activité sismique du pays depuis 2009 (séismes induits)
