DescriptionCryptomonas phaseolus full DOTkamina.png
English: Representation of Cryptomonas phaseolus. In the foreground (detailed main image), a side view of C. phaseolus Skuja 1948, indicating its organelles and most representative cellular parts. There are two chloroplasts without pyrenoids; these chloroplasts are brownish to reddish in color. The other organism, C. phaseolus (Skuja) Hoef-Emden 2007, appeared in the article by Choi et al. (2013), and the difference is that this one does have pyrenoids.
The shape of the reticulated mitochondria, Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum, mastigonemes, contractile vacuole, and nucleomorphs are speculative, and their existence is assumed because they are typical organelles in Cryptomonas (see the blog for more information).
Similarly, on the blog you will find the sources I consulted for this illustration, as well as the decisions made to represent the parts as they are. The colors used are more for educational than realistic purposes, so they don't exactly correspond to how the organism would appear under a microscope.

Correction of anatomical error: nucleomorphs are part of the chloroplast, so in this version they're represented "inside" the chloroplasts. One nucleomorph per chloroplast. So... yeah, two nucleomorphs
