Hrvatski: Na sljedećoj fotografiji vidljiv je korona izboj. Korona izboj je električni izboj koji nastaje zbog ionizacije fluida (nastaje plazma) koji okružuje električno nabijenu elektrodu. Izboj se najčešće pojavljuje kod zakrivljenih dijelova elektroda kao što su oštri vrhovi, žice ili rubovi metalnih ploha. Korona izboj na ovoj fotografiji dobio sam spajanjem metalne elektroda na visoki napon od 25kV. Za dobivanje tog napona korišteni su dijelovi starog televizora.
English: Corona discharge from a wire. Corona is an electrical discharge that occurs due to ionization of the air surrounding a high voltage electrode. It forms first on the highly curved parts of electrodes where the electric field is highest, such as sharp points, small diameter wires or metal edges. This photo is a corona discharge from a wire electrode I connected to the high voltage supply from an old CRT television set.
