DescriptionChocolate bar from the times of King Stanisław August Poniatowski.jpg
English: The chocolate bar is rectangular in shape with bevelled edges. In the middle, there is a five-field cartouche with the coats of arms of Poland, Lithuania and the Poniatowski family (Ciołek). The cartouche is topped with a crown.
In June 1787, King Stanisław August Poniatowski stayed in Kraków for two weeks. He stayed at the Wawel Royal Castle. Jan Rychter was the royal court confectioner at that time. He may be the creator of the chocolate bar held in the university’s collection (Dimensions: 1 cm x 6,2 cm x 7,3 cm).
