For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild Spremberg 19.7.1964 Berlin: Hubschrauber unterstützte Montagearbeiten Hunderten von Berlinern bot sich am Morgen das 19.7.1964 ein nicht alltägliches Schauspiel. Ein Hubschrauber der Interflug vom Typ MI-4 landete fünf Minuten nach fünf in der Karl-Marx-Allee vor dem Kino "International". Nach einer kurzen "Lagebesprechung" stieg er wieder auf, um bei der komplizieren Montage eines Fassenlifts am Haus der Lehrer und der Wissenschaftler auf dem Alexanderplatz zu helfen. Gespannt verfolgen jung und alt, wie die einzelnen Teile des Lifts, an einem heruntergelassenen 20 Meter Stahl-Seil befestigt, von dem Hochhaus aufgenommen und auf das Dach in 54 Meter Höhe gehoben wurde. |
