English: VIEW TO NORTH SHOWING UNDERSIDE OF DECK - Braceville Bridge, Spanning Southern Pacific Railroad tracks at State Route 129 (Old Route 66), Braceville, Grundy County, IL.

Significance: This bridge, incorporating a tied arch main span, was the first modern bridge in Illinois of this type of support the floor with hangers, without the use of diagnosis. It was built near the earliest alignment of U.S. Route 66 to relieve traffic congestion near Gardner. This early route through the area was an improvement of the original Chicago-Springfield Road.

This bridge was demolished in 2001.
