Central Holmes Cemetery, Yazoo County, Mississippi.

I have come back to add more description (several hours after posting this picture) since I've caught on that people outside of the South don't know the significance of bottle trees. Real bottle trees, which are very, very rare now, were ordinary trees with bottles, usually small blue bottles, stuck onto their branches. The belief was that evil spirits would be sucked into the bottles and thus would not threaten you. Fake bottle trees have been trendy in recent years -- metal "trees" with long bottles of various colors stuck on them.
