c/n 810.
Actual US Navy Bureau No A-7104.
One of three survivors, she is preserved in the markings of VF-6B.
Known by Boeing as the Model 67, only 27 FB-5s were built. They were all delivered directly by barge from the Seattle factory to the aircraft carrier USS Langley. They were hoisted aboard and made their first flights from the carrier’s deck. I can’t imagine that happening these days with an F-35!!
On display in the Maloney hangar at the Planes of Fame Museum,
Chino, California, USA.
