English: Hurricane Blas shortly before peak intensity as a Category 4 hurricane on June 25, 1998. This was taken using the GOES imaging instrument aboard the GOES-9 satellite, the original image was taken in grayscale but was superimposed using NASA’s Blue Marble (2002) image through a digital editing software to give a “true-color” effect and make storm structure features easier to see and identify. |
