It is cropped deliberately to cut off some of the image and text, and to show only as much as is needed to illustrate the discussion contained the article
It is unlikely to affect the sales of the newspapers that carry the strip due to its low quality, and cropping off essential parts of the panel
Illustrates cartoonist's style that is essential for an understanding of the subject of the article
