English: The shape of Arrokoth as viewed from its equator. Red areas show regions that were not well-imaged by New Horizons. The detailed shape of these areas is effectively the reflections of the parametric shapes for the well-imaged parts (due to the nature of the octantoid spherical harmonics), though the overall dimensions are well constrained by the low resolution images |
