DescriptionAIR CORPS LYNX REGIMENT BEGINS FINAL FAREWELL IN CUMBRIA MOD 45158706.jpg
English: Two Lynx Mk 9A Helicopters of 9 Regiment Army Air Corps (9 AAC) flying in formation above Cumbria.
Recent upgrades to the Lynx have delivered more powerful engines, strengthened airframes, increased firepower and more advanced instruments and electronics, improving the helicopter's performance in the extreme conditions of Afghanistan.
The Lynx 9A is the forbear for the future Wildcat aircraft which the regiment’s personnel will convert to when it merges with 1 Regiment Army Air Corps in June next year.
