Description
English: A directional mosaic on the Manhattan-bound (north) side of the upper mezzanine or second floor in the western station house at the east end of the elevated 4th Avenue IND Culver Line station in the 4th Avenue–9th Street complex, at the northwest corner of 10th Street and 4th Avenue in Gowanus / Park Slope, Brooklyn. This mezzanine is largely open air and overlooks the ground/street level of the station house, resembling footbridge or balcony mezzanines in some Upper Manhattan stations, with both levels providing crossovers for the IND station. According to this schematic, the similar eastern station house also contains a mezzanine level, but it is filled with offices and closed to the public.
