English: The birth place of the poet Cândido Guerreiro is located on Rua Poeta Cândido Guerreiro within the village of Alte which is within the municipality of Loulé, Algarve, Portugal. Francisco Xavier Cândido Guerreiro was born here on December 3 1871. He was a post-symbolist poet, playwright and a Lawyer. He graduated in Law from the University of Coimbra in 1907. He practiced as a notary in Loulé and in Faro. He also became president of the Municipalities of Loulé and Faro in the period between 1923 to 1941. As a poet he became part of the group known as the Portuguese Renaissance. He died in Lisbon on April 11 1953.
