English: Name: Nazareth - The White Mosque - Jama'a Al Abyad Description: The White Mosque - meaning purity and truth - serves the Muslim population of the city, about 75 percent of whose residents are Muslims and the rest are Christians according to the distribution of the various sects. It is located in the heart of the old city near the market and is the oldest of the mosques in Nazareth. It was built in the early 19th century and in the courtyard is buried the builder of the "Al Fahum" mosque.
