Zonecraft (also known as Zonecraft Network) is a Spanish-speaking Minecraft server initially created by the user xDaKiinG in 2018, and is mainly based on classic combat modes such as ArenaPvP or SkyWars.

The server is currently managed by Pacorro and ElMaGnificPvP, announcing news through their website and official Discord server.

History

edit

Its original creator proposed developing several classic combat modes for the Spanish-language server MineAqua. His idea was rejected by the server owners, so xDaKiinG decided to independently develop his ideas for his own network.

The name Zonecraft came about because the owner received an IP address from a relative, which was originally intended for another server. That server project was canceled due to insufficient funding, and xDaKiinG then received the IP address "play.zonecraft.es". It's important to note that this was before the server had even begun its initial development and was still only in the conceptual stage. xDaKiinG decided to use this IP address to avoid the (at the time) exorbitant costs of purchasing a new IP address from scratch, that's how he decided that, likewise, both his server and its website would share the same name and web domain.

Testimonials from some collaborators indicate that the server was in initial development for about 6 months before its release to the general public. During its development, users Marvi and ElMaGnificPvP joined the project, also becoming owners of the server.

The network would finally be opened to the general public on March 23, 2018, the same day its Discord server was created.

In 2022 the server simplified its IP domain, going from "play.zonecraft.es" to simply "zonecraft.es"

On August 20, 2023, the server debuted a new graphical package on its website and Discord server, along with its first logo change, and included an update called "Mango".
