Vishwanath & Sons is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Venky Atluri and produced by Sithara Entertainments, and Fortune Four Cinemas. The music director for this movie is GV Prakash Kumar[1][2] The film stars Suriya as Sanjay Vishwanath, alongside Mamitha Baiju, Radhika Sarathkumar, and Raveena Tandon.[3]
The film marks Suriya's 46th project as a lead actor and his first collaboration with director Venky Atluri.[4] It also marks Raveena Tandon's return to Tamil cinema after over two decades, her last Tamil appearance being Kamal Haasan's Aalavandhan (2001).[5] Vishwanath & Sons is scheduled for a theatrical release in July 2026.[1]

editThe project was first referred to as Suriya 46 before its official title was revealed.[4] The film is written and directed by Venky Atluri, who previously directed Lucky Baskhar (2024) and Vaathi (2023).[7] Producer Naga Vamsi described the film as a wholesome family entertainer driven by strong human emotions, exploring the relationship dynamics between a 45-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman.[5]
Filming
editPrincipal photography for the film has been completed, and the project is in its post-production phase as of March 2026.[4] Part of the filming took place in Belarus, as indicated by a line producer credit for the country.
Music
editThe film's soundtrack and background score are composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar. He had previously collaborated with director Venky Atluri on the Tamil-Telugu bilingual Vaathi / Sir and Telugu film Lucky Baskhar and second collaboration with Suriya after Soorarai Pottru.[7]
Release
editIn March 2026, the makers officially announced the title Vishwanath & Sons along with the first-look poster through Sithara Entertainments' social media handles and confirmed a July 2026 theatrical release window.[1][3] In Tamil Nadu, the film will be distributed by Think Studios.[2]
