Tom and Jerry And The Forbidden Compass or Tom and Jerry: Astrological Encounters (猫和老鼠：星盘奇缘) is a 2025 Chinese-American co-production computer-animated science fantasy comedy film directed by Zhang Gang, based on the Tom and Jerry theatrical cartoon series created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. The film was a United States and China-co production and produced by Origin Animation and co-produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and China Film Group. The film was distributed by Wuzhou Film Distribution and the US by Viva Pictures under Viva Kids label in theaters and VOD on September 9, 2026. as the 18th installment of the Tom and Jerry film series. The English version of the film features Eric Bauza, Ben Diskin, Janice Kawaye, Matthew Yang King, Roger Craig Smith, Travis Willingham, Vincent Tong and A.J. Beckles.
Plot
editDuring a chase in a museum, Tom and Jerry accidentally activate a magical compass that transports them to another world. On their journey home, they meet a group of new companions and become embroiled in a conflict against mysterious forces.[1]

editThis film was animated in August 12 to September 9, 2024 by Origin Animation, as well all voiced actors recording by Studiopolis. the Americanized edit over 3 minutes of footage for pacing reasons, then limited trimmed by 103 minutes to 99 minutes long and commissioned by Warner Bros. Discovery and produced by Sam Register and scripted by Lindsay Katai and created literally distributed by Viva Kids themselves. the English dubbed shorten version was released in North America in September 9, 2026 and VOD in October 3, 2026.
