Three of a Kind (Korean: 랜드) is an upcoming South Korean crime film directed by Han Dong-wook. It features an ensemble cast led by Yum Jung-ah, Cha Joo-young, and Kim Hye-yoon.[2] It follows a three women who plan a desperate bank heist to escape poverty, only for everything to go wrong in unexpected ways.

Plot

The film tells the story of a three women who lives in a declining mining community overshadowed by a nearby casino. Hwa-sook, Chun-ja, Do-yeon, who are each grappling with personal and financial hardship amid worsening local economic conditions. As their circumstances grow increasingly desperate, the women strangers at first cross paths and form an unlikely alliance.

Facing limited opportunities and mounting pressure, they decide to carry out a bank robbery in hopes of escaping their situation. However, the plan soon unravels, and what begins as a calculated act of desperation escalates into a far more dangerous series of events.

The film is directed by Han Dong-wook, known for his previous works such as Man in Love (2014) and The Worst of Evil (2023), for which he won the Best Director award in the TV category at the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards. It is produced by Sanai Pictures and distributed by Plus M Entertainment.[10]

Casting

On August 12, 2025, Yum Jung-ah, Cha Joo-young, and Kim Hye-yoon were officially announced as the film’s lead cast. The project also marks a reunion between Yum and Kim, who previously appeared together in SKY Castle (2018-2019).[11]

On September 9, Park Sung-woong, Park Yoon-ho, and Im Seong-jae were added to the cast. Later the same month, it was reported that Kim Nam-gil and Yoon Kyung-ho would make special appearances, further strengthening the film’s cast.[9]

Filming

Principal photography began in the second half of 2025. A script reading session was held on August 12, 2025, with the main cast and production team in attendance.[12]

Release

The film is scheduled for release in the second half of the year as part of Plus M Entertainment's 2026 movie lineup[13][14]
