Haley Cavanagh is an American author of young adult and speculative fiction as well as nonfiction. She is known for the novel Shadowed Skies and for the nonfiction book Adulting: The Ultimate Cheat Sheet.
Career
editCavanagh is the author of Shadowed Skies, a young adult dystopian fantasy novel published in 2025 by Our Street Books and distributed by Simon & Schuster.[1] The novel follows protagonists River Shaw and Delene Fairborne in a dystopian setting blending romance and speculative fiction.
An independent review published on the book blog World of Stories described the novel as an engaging work of young adult speculative fiction, noting its world-building and character development.[2]
Cavanagh is also the author of the science fiction series The Oceanstone Initiative, which includes the novels Astraeus and Retaliation.[3]
In nonfiction, Cavanagh wrote Adulting: The Ultimate Cheat Sheet, published in 2024 by Cedar Fort Publishing.[4] The book provides practical guidance on budgeting, time management, relationships, and other life skills intended for young adults transitioning to independent living.
