Benjamin W. Morris was a teacher and minister who served as a member of the North Carolina House of Representatives.[1] He lived in New Bern and represented Craven County.[2] Fellow Craven County representative A. W. Stevens was also documented as being African American and the county was rpwresented by many African Americans until 1891.[3] He also served as a registrar.[4]
He was noted as a teacher.[5]
Rev. B. W. Morris gave a deposition in 1894.[6]
